Join Davis Cub Scout Pack 132!

Pack 132 has been serving the Davis community for many years. Each scount meets about twice per month from August to June. Typically, there is one meething at the Pack level (All scouts) and a second meeting at the Den level (only scouts of same age). Cub scouting revolves around the family, so many of the adventures can be done with the Den of your family. Attend what you can and whe can help you cover what is missed. Our Pack has a lot of wonderful activities planned this year. To learn more about Pack 132, please see the list of Q&A offered here. There is 1 pack meeting and 1-2 den meetings a month. The den meetings are set by the parents and the Den Master trying to find a time that works for the kids. Scouting is a family-centric organization so we do rely on the parents to help out. If you can volunteer for a specific title that is great, but we understand that you may only have a limited amount of time to spare here and there. In the end the title doesn’t matter as long as we can get the job done and the kids can enjoy the planned activities to the fullest.

The Scouting program is designed to help keep the kids involved and motivated. One of the ways they do this is through age-specific activities that they can complete to earn belt loops, pins, and badges for their uniform. Through these little steps they will work to towards their grade-specific rank badge. The pack meeting is setup so that their accomplishments of the last month can be recognized in front of the pack. It's always fun when the kids can be recognized for their hard work.

Pack meetings are generally in the evening on a weekday, for this reason we try to limit it to 1 hour. Kids attention spans tend to wander if we go too long. We try to have a gathering activity that takes place prior to the meeting (15 minutes before). One of the Dens will be responsible to doing the opening and closing flag ceremonies. Once started we try to do a little audience participation then jump into a meeting themed activity (30 minutes). Afterwards, we come back together to do an awards for the month.
